Allow me to introduce my guest, friendly young man, the owner of a funny tousled bangs and trim in good shape: they call Kornyakov Stepan, 22, is now on the 5th course MIET, is a student with a degree of CAD (although the issue of specialty was easy - it seems to have forgotten :) ) He and I can say, neighbors - we live under the same roof, in the home campus of MIET.

That Jack and pulled him to a venture that later drastically changed the lives of Stephen. But I'll try to be consistent.
How it all began
As a freshman, friends began to run together: first from the hostel to the MIET and back, ran on turnichki - engaged. In the second course, they were already running 15 kilometers.
Somehow, once again back together with horizontal bars, pitch apple bought in the shop, and proclaimed, "This is the last thing I eat for the next 36 hours." On the other logical question "why" - said, "Well that's good."
Just as with Viola - "the month and year I do not remember, but the date April 4, 2003 in memory hit" :) Stepan decided to support each other and together they began to starve. For a while they were starving, 2 times a week - it turned easily, without difficulty.
Away we'd go
It is necessary to mention that my mother once too fond of Stephen starvation, Paul Bragg read the book "Miracle of Fasting." Remembering this, Stepan found on the Internet this book, read it and somehow "it all sunk in.", "roof just slipped," inspired. By virtue of his impulsiveness, he immediately read embodied in reality, I tried everything in practice. The following summer, he ate mostly fruits and vegetables.
Parents react to the new way of life of the son knowing. However, there were some friends who treat it with some skepticism, but the strong negative impact Stepan experienced. Especially, it is quite fortunate: nearest man, his girlfriend and future wife, eats the same way. So that they support each other, because "together is always easier."
By the way, Stepan mentioned common to all beginners mistake: when you find out about all of this - eyes open wide, "Oh, I know," you try to talk to other people, such as campaigning, to explain ... Naturally, not all accept this, meet with understanding. I also attempted agitation friends - with mixed success. But on my way I will cover in another article.
The first results
It is worth mentioning that while Stepan did not even think that would give him a way of life in general and in particular the raw food diet. He had no idea that he could have "a completely different organism" - all happened "nonspecial." Still, he knew that the main results are not immediately, but in 10-20 years - worked for the future. And then - but what to say, only 18 years old, physically developed normally, moving, running, rollerblading, dancing, doing ... When he had answered the question, "What gave you the raw food diet?", I could just say a couple of common phrases: "Well-being, mood, health ..."
Most thought to ask, "Yes, I like and so feel good, like and so have no pain." But because few people think about the fact that on the one hand - as many as possible, and on the other - it is necessary to do something to get it more.
Now, that just experienced the Stepan:
- Lost (though never been fat, engage in physical activity)
- Has become easier to get enough sleep
- Feel better, but not revolutionary
Still, in 18 years, the body is not so dirty poor diet and environment to dramatically manifested any global changes. However, some positive developments were bright enough and objective:
Since childhood, Stephen was allergic to pollen. So 2-3 weeks in May turned into a living hell - cough, runny nose, heavy breathing, eyes watering, all itchy and have a lot of discomfort. The typical student food: pasta, ravioli, mayonnaise, ketchup, fried, boiled - "Excuse me, are not the most healthy food."
4 years of searching
In April 2007 it will be exactly 4 years, as Stepan completely changed his diet. But during those years, he was constantly looking for that best suits his true body. There were periods of both full raw food diet, raw food diet with yogurt (they were the majority) and just vegetarianism. In the transition to a pure raw food (ie, refusing only yogurt) he always lost a bit of weight. Stamina is not lost, just the opposite. Although, perhaps, it was due to the fact that the weight dropped off and exercise became easier to do. During such periods, could run 20 km and not feel tired. "I was looking for, where else is there for me to run here," - obbezhal almost the entire city. There was even a shift on the extra weight - it seemed to be, though, and weighed a little bit. Now, can say for sure that excess weight was not. However, while it is slightly limited his diet in calories.

In periods nesyroedeniya ate oatmeal, cottage cheese, yogurt, vegetables, fruits (bananas and tangerines favorite). "In the winter eating enough," so basically in use are bananas, apples, pears, tangerines, oranges. "When recently had a lot of tangerines and they were pretty cheap - could eat up to 4 kg per day." But now (February-March 2007) - not a full season (so that the fruit (which you will find), every day salad vegetables - cabbage, carrot, radish with unrefined oil and cleaned seeds. During the day - nuts, honey or their mixture. summer it - grace, a mountain of vegetables and fruits, "the food very much." So anything that grows! "In the season of grapes - calmly ate 3 kg of grapes per day."
Fasting or not there is a
All this time he steadily starved for a day in the week (by the way, this is a half months a year. Total Stepan did not eat more than six months :)) At the beginning several times starved for 2-3 days. At the beginning of the 4th year began to gradually increase the number of days: 4, 5, 6, 7 ... At the end of the 5 year otgolodal 10 days! After fasting the first 10 days of nothing but fruits and vegetables are not wanted. "I tried yogurt - not like the taste." Decided, "Well, it nafik, this yogurt!" I asked him whether he plans to starve for 40 days in order to "achieve enlightenment." But no, the enlightenment he "does not apply." Looks like - well, it, enlightenment as kefir :). Starvation - only a means, a tool, not a test of will there.
Gym
All the while Stepan worked in the gym. He admits that at first made some mistakes. First, ate little - like as not particularly like, but when engaging in trenazherku desirable yet there is more. Second, forget about vegetables - mostly ate fruits and nuts. At night now eats a big plate of vegetable salad. - Squats - 140 kg
- Deadlift - 165 kg

It is worth mentioning that Jack, a friend of Stephen, who knocked him to the adventure with fasting, eats almost the same, but they are less severe. Stepan always let his thanks for the indirect, but still quite significant impact on their lives. Now in the morning began to do exercises in the book "The Eye of the revival" - after exercise gets energy boost for the day!
