In our world, a one-time gain in popularity. Disposable tableware, disposable packages ... Equipment and clothing we often change, throwing out the old. Is suffering from the world, becoming a dump. But that's half woes. Of plastic and we are suffering - from carbon monoxide (from the burning of waste), and ending with the fact that we have with the food in your body to absorb toxins that are found in a plastic container (especially if we use hot drinks and food, and often do ).
Plastic utensils to recognize the risks to health
Scientists have shown that plastic ware detrimental effect on the human body. Therefore, if you took a one-time barbecue utensils or drinking beverages from the machines, you have been drinking poison. Environmental and toxicological service urge people to refrain from the use of such utensils, while the producers of food grade plastic believe millions of profits.
Found that in the Ukrainian market of plastic containers increases every year exponentially. Sales of disposable packaging is more than $ 30 million. The researchers conducted the experience. In a plastic cup was poured vodka. A few minutes later, scientists examined the composition of the content. In the glass was not the vodka, and a chemical solution, which is harmful to the body. European countries have long started to refuse to make plastic utensils. Moreover, it is not only harmful to health, but also decomposes in the ground about a hundred years. It is for this reason that in the developed countries, plastic replaces paper.
American scientists, based on the results of their study, argue that packed in plastic food can be harmful to people who use. In particular, the experts believe that first of all there may be various disturbances in metabolism.
Thus, a series of experiments on animals showed that the main component of plastic - bisphenol A (BPA), leads to a decrease in sperm production in males, while accelerating the process of sexual maturation in females.
In addition, the experts found that 92 percent of the people, chosen completely at random, there is a high concentration of bisphenol A in the body. Moreover, this concentration was significantly higher than that at which the test animals were observed hormonal disorders.
Despite the fact that many professionals today speaks loudly about the new risks to human health, the manufacturers packaging for food products is still not taking any steps to eliminate BPA from the their products. As the approximate statistics, currently the world's annual production of about 2.8 million tons of BPA, which all also used to make food packaging.
Junk food
The term "junk food", which appeared in the 70's in the American press to refer to food, ready-to-eat manufactured goods, packed in a sturdy advance airtight container with small packages, designed for long storage and use on the move, on the road, in transportation and stadiums. This is mainly sandwiches, various cutting sausage, cheese, ham, and packed in plastic jars tapas and drinks, which do not involve any heat, and eat cold, at any time - as a breakfast, lunch or dinner, just to eat, satisfy his hunger.
The name "junk food" refers, therefore, not to the quality of the food, and the fact that the massive use of it led to littering the street area in places of trade in these products. As plastic boxes, cardboard boxes, plastic bags and polished thick paper used for packaging of these products, high-volume and quickly filled the bins, with the wind through the streets. Over the years, however, it was observed that the regular consumption of the contents of these packages leads to chronic disorders of the digestive system - for colitis, gastritis, heartburn, constipation, etc. Thus, the 90 th year of the term "weed eating" got deeper and more clearly negative meaning, emphasizing not only the outside of the vulgarity of street food, but also, in principle, condemning the health consequences of permanent use of this type of food.
Protest even astronomers. Employees of one of France's leading observatories at Peak World, are concerned that they will have to watch the planets through the thick haze of soot and smoke arising in the process of frying chips, steaks and sausages, in addition, it changes the structure of the Earth's atmospheric shell.
Therefore, the researchers decided to begin a vigorous campaign against the "McDonald's", "bigburgerov", etc., which not only pollute the environment, but also create enormous difficulties for research space.
Did you know that ...
- Production of 1000 disposable plastic spoons is to consume 10 times more energy and natural resources than producing 1 steel substrate even under the condition that it will wash 1000.
- The world's population increases by 1.5 - 2%, and the volume of landfill sites in the same period - by 6%!
- No one living species can not exist in an environment created from their own waste.
- The combustion of dry grass and leaves in the air identifies those poisons that plants absorbed during the summer - compounds of lead, mercury and other heavy metals;
- Rubber, burning at the stake, forms polyaromatic hydrocarbons (carcinogens), carcinogenic soot and sulfur oxides that cause respiratory infections;
- In developed countries already have a lot of waste incineration plants with the water treatment plants, waste incineration energy which is converted into electrical energy;
- Many experts now believe that if you systematically use the full range of material savings with respect to every material object, which we produce and use, you can reduce the total flow of materials. And, in the end, reduce the portion of green land, which is converted into the brown desert, and the amount of fossil fuel burning is changing the climate. But these steps are not only recycling bottles and paper. Requires fundamental restructuring of industrial production and a new approach to its operation. The next step is to rethink everything that we consume, why should this product where it is, where does it go, and how we can extend its life is almost no cost - with new ideas.
- In Ukraine there are about 11 million of landfills. They occupy an area of 260,000 hectares - about the same area as the country of Luxembourg.
- Waste sorting plant - a complete industrial plant in which waste sorting is done by automated equipment, such as conveyors, press for waste drum magnetic separator and separator. Automation is not able to distinguish a cardboard box from a plastic bottle, so only by working-graders can do more sorting. All operations are carried out in conditions of perfect cleanliness and safety.
Waste sorting plant is to produce a uniform batch recycle, suitable in quality for recycling into paper, cardboard, glass, transparent or opaque plastic, metal, and later rags. This material will be taken from the waste collected in dumpsters. This will then recycle glass plant and processed at factories in the board or in the shops for the production of pipes or plastic bottles.
The harm of plastic
WWF launched the "detoxification" of European environment ministers. "The chemical industry seriously argues that there is no way to determine whether its products are dangerous or not, - said Mr. Karl Wagner, managing a special program in DeTox Wildlife Fund (WWF). - But in the name of the planet, including and our own lives, we can not afford not to know. "
And to determine the danger of "chemistry" environmentalists decided quite spectacular way. At the conference of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Budapest in the summer of 2004, the 14 ministers of environmental protection and the health of the EU took a blood test to identify the body of toxic elements.
It turned out that in their blood caught a total of 55 chemical elements of the 103, which generally can determine WHO laboratories. The most "pure" in the body of the minister found 25 dangerous toxins in the most "affected" - as many as 43.
Whence honorable ministers plucked up this crap? WWF experts say: toxins get into their bodies with a-stick coated pans of pizza boxes, items made of soft PVC, perfumes and insecticides. Incidentally, the "green" blood of the people responsible for the environment, found even pesticides banned for decades to produce.
What does all this physical? Environmentalists and did not hide their goal - to put pressure on the EU to discuss with the end of 2003, the project is very controversial directive (European law) on the standardization of chemical products. Since this directive, known by the acronym REACH, provides for the issuance of special licenses for the production of particularly dangerous toxic substances. Some of which have the ability to accumulate in the body and in nature, others can cause hormonal disturbances.
Scientists clearly see the connection between chemicals and cancer, various forms of allergies, infertility, and developmental delays.
- It is difficult to understand why the political leaders admit that such experiments were carried out without any control over the years, - said Mr. Wagner.
And now, in many European newspapers, he explains by the ministers, and along with the public, that there is still not clear what the consequences of the accumulation of body industrial chemicals identified in the study.
The reaction of Ministers passed a blood test is not known. But it seems that European officials have high immunity to the warnings of "green." For WWF has launched a campaign last fall, took a blood test in 39 European parliamentarians. Then it was found in their blood as much as 76 toxins. That, however, did not stop the advance directive REACH.
As, however, and the sale of coffee in plastic cups in Ukraine after the recent Congress of Toxicology in Kiev, where he spoke about the danger of disposable tableware.
Thank you for another great article. Where else could anyone get that kind of information in such a perfect way of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I am on the look for such information. white porcelin dinnerware
